Trying to develop a load for a 28 Nosler using 175 grain ELD-X bullets. Rifle is a custom not factory. It shoots factory ammo good. Before you say it, that is not the point that it shoots factory ammo okay. I have tried R25 and Retumbo from min to max loads published in Nosler book. I have tried setting bullets at book OAL and further out by 15 thousandths. Best group was book OAL and .5 grain below max with R25 but it was only a one inch group. Max loads are max for this rifle, in both powders started showing slight pressure signs. I even measured OAL to ogive on factory ammo to duplicate OAL. That is where I got best groups. It was 5 thousandth shorter than book OAL. Anyone have a load they would share?

How far off the lands are you? I have a custom Lapua that shoots lights out seated 20 thou further out than my Savage Lapua (which is also lights out). I would try more seating depths. Also, might want to try RL33 - my Stiller Lapua loves that.

Do not have my notes at the moment with me.

It is my brother's rifle. We decided to abandon Hornady and going to try Berger and Accubond LR.
