Pretty spendy bullets, went to there website and have noticed what they are getting for velocities in the 9.3 x 62. Under what is considered great speeds the petals break off and the core drives on-similar to the Partitions and or the Barnes?

Doing for the time being as my Brenneke is being built to do a easy venture into the 62 Mauser. Keep costs down except the barrel, like anything the barrel helps quite abit-it is a L-W 23.5"bbl threaded into a vz24.

Anyone use this bullet? What appreciable gains over the Barnes TSX or for that matter the Partitions if any? Have any pics of a bullet retrieved from good animal testing?

One of the absolute best premium grade bullets available on the market!

I have hunted Kudu, Bluewildebeest, Gemsbuck and Springbuck just recently, Impala and Blesbuck, all with one shot kills out of both my .308 and 7mm Rem Mag with 130gr GSCHV's used in both rifles.

The next three pictures show a .375H&H GSCHV 265gr bullet recovered from an extremely large Kudubull (62" horn length) shot earlier this year by a PH. On both sides the large shoulder bones were broken by the bullet - 98.9% weight retention.

I've shot a few of them, and they pretty much work as advertised. That is, they kill elk, deer and antelope very well.

Are they better than a TSX? I think they are a little better. Are they $50/box better? Not to me.

I still use them when a comparable Barnes is not available; for example, GS makes a 68 gr. .243 bullet that is marvelous on antelope and deer, and the lightest bullet Barnes makes is the 85 gr. All that said, it depends if money is more important than shooting "the best". JMO, Dutch.

Dutch, that is why I began to reload some yrs back-to be or make an ethical 1 shot kill. You mentioned elk-with what bullet/vel. and what caliber and range?

Jagter, 98.9% is pretty darn good-thanks for the pics.

went into "search" and plugged in Gerard and what a study! I am sold on the debate that went on and now am convinced that I should buy a box in the .366"---in the US who delivers timely and in short order? Would like to have them well before Sept. of this yr. Have Grizz and Moose on the menu.

thanks

finally caught up to myself. been running around the study of these bullets and came to the conclusion that there is no US source. read where there was an individual over at the campfire but he too backed out-from the fast readings I have done. Well I have made lots of fine kills with the Barnes all-copper-it is now a simple fixSmiler

The US dealer listed is Custom Brass and Bullets -- I have no experience doing business with them, but they are in the US, and can give a UPS tracking number, I presume?

Grizz, the elk I shot with the GS customs was a heavy bodied 6x6, 130 gr. from a 7mag and 40 paces (why in the H - E - Double Hockey Sticks do I keep carrying a 7mag?????).

Anyway, two pertinent points to that experience, one, the 130 gr. GS bullet flies through elk in fine fashion, and two, $86/box bullets don't correct for crappy bullet placement.......

My wife keeps shooting the 62 gr .243 through antelope from her 6PPC, and no, those bullets AREN'T for sale Wink HTH, Dutch.

I've just completed my first transaction with Custom Brass and Bullets. I had the item in less than a week (5 days to be exact).
