Loading for a Marlin 1892 which has been relined and chambered in 32 S&W Long. Gun was originally chambered in 32 rim fire short and long and with a center fire firing pin 32 short and long Colt. Original loading of 32 rim fire long published data was 90gr bullet at 1080fps. This gun is not a strong design and honestly is a black powder design. I can load a 98gr SWC with 2.2gr bullseye and get 980fps. Am I OK with this load? My main problem is all published load data is for pistols.

pressure is pressure. the data doesn't matter what gun it was made for as long as it's below what your gun can handle.

True but I would say a 2.2 gr load of bullseye should be just fine.
