Anyone care to share your loads for 350 grain and 400 grain bullets in the .416 Ruger? Not a lot of info availible and any help would be appreciated. Free men should not be subjected to permits, paperwork and taxation in order to carry any firearm. NRA Benefactor

I posted some loads I received direct from Hornady on the big bore forum. Finding them is not always easy but if you email Hornady, they will likely send you some data as well. I used 83 grains of Win 760 with a 400grain Hornady RN.....and later discovered it was three grains over Hornady's published loads.....I worked quite well in the VZ-24 I chambered it in! Velocity bordered on 2400 FPS....recoil was stiff! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." What bullets do you want to shoot? Try that manufacturer as a starting point, thats what I did Barnes tech support was helpful. 400 tsx 68gr IMR 4895 2300fps max load 350 tsx 75gr IMR 4320 2500fps max load Start off 2 grains less and go from up was there recommendations, there were a few other loads, but these were the two I wanted to try, I have not loaded and shot these yet, good luck

I have Barnes TTSX 350s and Hornady 400 DGS but I'm open if someone has some really good suggestions. I am really surprised at how little loaing data there is for the 416 Ruger on line. The rifle is a SS Ruger Alaskan. Shots will be within 75yds. Free men should not be subjected to permits, paperwork and taxation in order to carry any firearm. NRA Benefactor
