.416 Ruger Loads
Anyone care to share your loads for 350 grain and 400 grain bullets in the .416 Ruger? Not a lot of info availible and any help would be appreciated.

I posted some loads I received direct from Hornady on the big bore forum. Finding them is not always easy but if you email Hornady, they will likely send you some data as well.

I used 83 grains of Win 760 with a 400grain Hornady RN.....and later discovered it was three grains over Hornady's published loads.....I worked quite well in the VZ-24 I chambered it in! Velocity bordered on 2400 FPS....recoil was stiff! dancing

What bullets do you want to shoot? Try that manufacturer as a starting point, thats what I did Barnes tech support was helpful.
400 tsx 68gr IMR 4895 2300fps max load
350 tsx 75gr IMR 4320 2500fps max load
Start off 2 grains less and go from up was there recommendations, there were a few other loads, but these were the two I wanted to try, I have not loaded and shot these yet, good luck

I have Barnes TTSX 350s and Hornady 400 DGS but I'm open if someone has some really good suggestions. I am really surprised at how little loaing data there is for the 416 Ruger on line. The rifle is a SS Ruger Alaskan. Shots will be within 75yds.
