What, if any, advantage is there to using nickle plated cases? I am going to buy a new batch of 45-70 brass and was just curious if there is any advantage to using nickle plated cases over plain brass? Also, does anyone have any recomendations for a specific brand of brass that they have had good luck with?

They size easier. They clean up faster and easier. They last at least as long as regular brass cases. And if you drop one on the ground, it easier to find.

Their main advantage is that they dont take up permanent residence in lazy policemen's revolver cylinders like brass cases do. Anything else is icing on the cake.
