stevenoRe: why nickle plated cases?
nickel plated cases also have lubricity to them that lets them feed easier in semi-autos

collegekidandyWhat, if any, advantage is there to using nickle plated cases? I am going to buy a new batch of 45-70 brass and was just curious if there is any advantage to using nickle plated cases over plain brass?
Also, does anyone have any recomendations for a specific brand of brass that they have had good luck with?

Pecos41They size easier. They clean up faster and easier. They last at least as long as regular brass cases. And if you drop one on the ground, it easier to find.

KevinNYThey are handy for big bores where you can load softs in brass and solids in nickel. Very quick to see the diffference and not easy to get mixed up.

geekayTheir main advantage is that they dont take up permanent residence in lazy policemen's revolver cylinders like brass cases do. Anything else is icing on the cake.

<eldeguello>They look cool! But seriously, they don't corrode in storage and don't develop verdigris from a long time in a leather ammo wallet like brass does.
However, there are disadvantages to nickle cases as well as advantages!
