Do you full length size brand new straight wall brass cases/44magnum,etc. cases or just bell the mouth and load 'em up?

I size them, but that's me. Before I started that, I had one batch that didn't hold the bullet like they should.

When handguns were legal here I shot a lot of 38 Special and 44 Magnum plus the other "usual suspects" of 455 Webley etc., etc..

I always put new factory brass through the (carbide) re-sizing die when I got it. And use a neck-chamfer too to de-burr inside and out.

In fact treated it just as if it were once-fired brass bought in or picked up off the range.

As HB say. Then you know...

I size, to get them round, then chamfer. Often new brass will have a decent burr on the case mouth & be out of round..

More often if it said "R - P" on the headstamp! Less often if it said "W - W"!
