surfing to the sniper Web page ,I found this interesting link to a well outlayed exam of a
"detonated cartridge",the caliber has really nothing to do with it.

Looks to me like a prechambering slam fire that is the cause of most m14 grands and other simi autos going up. I have seen a bm59 do the same thing bretta gave the guy a new rifle.
