I'm having trouble getting repeatable measurements with the Stoney Point OAL guage. Any tips on using it?

It's an excellent tool IMHO but does require getting a 'feel' for what's going on. I found another thread that talks about this that you might find useful. It is located at: Stoney Point OAL Thread Good Luck, XWind

Hold the case firmly against the chamber and use consistant pressure against the bullet, BOTH WHILE tightening the set screw. Use a comparator to measure. About all I can suggest to improve things with the SP. Mine is very accurate, to the thou every time so...? I posted something else here you might try too. http://www.serveroptions.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=6;t=006833#000000
