| the brass colored primers you see are factory loaded ammunition. I don't believe there are any primers available for reloading that aren't silver in color.

| It's only adifference between brass or nickel plated brass just like cases. Doesn't mean anything . Soryy no gold or other exotics. |

| Federal primers are also silver colored. Remingtons are gold colored.

| It seems like all of the Winchester pistol primers have been a brass color for about 4 or maybe 5 years now. The cartons that held 10 packets of 100 primers were marked on the outside with something like "New finish for easier use" or something like that.
A commercial reloader told me that his CCI primers which were not intended for resale to reloaders would often not have the nickel finish. |
