I have a 116 savage in 270 and i use 130gr sst with imr 4350 at 55gr.I get less than one'' at 100 yards but i have a box of 130gr barnes x should i start out lower than 55gr of imr 4350 and then work up.Thanks for any help. | ||

I've loaded up some 140 gr TSX for my .270 using H4831SC in 51, 52, and 53 grain increments. Haven't been to the range with them yet though, so I don't know how well they do. I do expect that I'll probably end up using somewhere between 54 and 55 gr though. FiSTers... Running is useless. | |||

Would this be the standard "X", XLC, or Triple Shock? Regardless, you should start with the minimum PUBLISHED load in a BARNES manual or look at the data published by IMR, or both. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns | |||
