I just picked up some RL 15 to try with my 235gr-270gr 375 bullets. I have always used IMR 4350 for them in the past but have heard good things about RL 15 and the 375. I am wondering if it is also a suitable powder for the 300gr bullets. My Nosler book doesn't list it and my other books don't list any of the Reloader powders. If anyone has a good load with this powder and the 300gr Nosler I would love to hear it. Thanks. Jarrett

Speer lists min 67grains max 74 grains RL-15 with 270 grain bullet in 375H&H. 76 min and 80 max with 235. I think it is way too fast for 300 grain bullets.

When I bought a .375 last year, a lot of guys highly recommended RL 15 for use with the 300 grain bullets. I tried it and it has worked pretty well for me. I got good results from both 71 and 72gr RL 15 with the 300gr Noslers and Sierras. With CCI 250 primers I believe I was getting on the order of 2550fps (going from memory, so could be off a tad). I use RL15 with the 300 grainers with excellent results. W760 also works. With the Speer 235 GR. bullet I get 1 hole groups with H4895.

I use RL15 in Winchester cases with CCI Mag primers for the 300 grain Swift A-Frame and 300 grain Barnes solid. I use 71 grains for the Barnes and 70 grains for the Swift. My rifle (a Sako M75) will shoot these loads to the exact same POI (consistently under MOA)at 100 yards. Velocity for both loads is just at 2,520 FPS.
