I've been considering buying some of these, but they don't appear to be very popular. I'd think they'd stabilize well in a standard 10" twist barrel such as the Rem. 700. Does anyone have any experience using them? What was the accuracy relative to other weight Partitions? Is this primarily a mule deer/elk round? Thanks

I used to carry them when hunting in Alaska with a .270. They were plenty accurate!! However, all the game I ever shot up north with the .270 was with the 150-grain, not the 160. The 150's worked great, so I suspect the 160's would have been just as good or better! "Bitte, trinks du nicht das Wasser. Dahin haben die Kuhen gesheissen."

1 in 10 twist should adequately stabilize them and properly handloaded (RL22) you'll have enough power to drive them clear thru an elk. You'll have to try them to see how your gun likes them. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."
