Slatts160 grain Nosler Partitions .270
I've been considering buying some of these, but they don't appear to be very popular. I'd think they'd stabilize well in a standard 10" twist barrel such as the Rem. 700.
Does anyone have any experience using them? What was the accuracy relative to other weight Partitions? Is this primarily a mule deer/elk round?
Thanks

arky65slatts, i have used these in my m77. hell on deer and hogs. never shot an animal over 50yds with them tho. off the bench they shot about an inch higher than my 130 prohunter load @ 100 yds.

I used to carry them when hunting in Alaska with a .270. They were plenty accurate!! However, all the game I ever shot up north with the .270 was with the 150-grain, not the 160. The 150's worked great, so I suspect the 160's would have been just as good or better!

vapodog1 in 10 twist should adequately stabilize them and properly handloaded (RL22) you'll have enough power to drive them clear thru an elk.
You'll have to try them to see how your gun likes them.
