It's Hodgdon Ball-C, #2. Usually given as BL-C(2) or BLC-2. It's a ball-type, not an extruded powder. I don't know who makes it for Hodgdon, but my guess is Olin (Winchester).

Used bl-c2 for years, works well, but now am having better luck with 2230 - shot mostly 52-53 grain bullets, use a hot load. Good Luck

Powder Burns, Western Ball, Type C was military surplus sold to Bruce Hodgden after WWII. (The big one that got in all the papers) When that ran out I believe Hodgden contracted to have some more made up. (Lot #2) Ross

Three of us in the club bought 50 lbs and split it three ways. One guy blew a primer right a way and since it was my idea I had to buy it back from him. Soon primers were falling out of my cases as the data was wrong. Mine may have been lot #1. I think it cost us about $.55 a pound. I still have some left but most of it is used up in the .222. It's a dirty powder. Good ridance.
