Barnes data ought to work just fine, if available. (Found some for 350-gr Barnes original and 4350 or 3100 which is close to IMR 4831.) Or SWIFT A-frame data, since that stuff is also longer than usual like the RHINO's. Extrapolated from my own results with RHINO monometals and softs, I'd suggest H414 / W760 starting at 70 grains (work up). I couldn't get enough IMR 4350 or the 4831's in the case for my .375 Wby to make them work for me. Doubt a .375 H&H will hold enough either. Alternatively, NORMA used to load RHINO's and had some European based data online. Hope this helps you. _______________________ | |||

Kiri, try the various loads for the 350 Woodleigh. I had good luck with Reloader 15 but a lot of knowledgeable people recommend H4350. | |||

hey Frank, I saw some load data saying RL 15 was 64-68gr for the 350 woodleighs, but Quickload is showing a max load of 61 gr pf powder. I loaded them yesterday with 66gr of RL15 so now it looka like I'm gonna have to pull them all and start again. What powder weight did you use? K | |||

Thanks for that. I'll take a look at the Norma site I actually think that the manufacturer should be posting some data on their site. The only load I could find was for Somchem S355 obviously for the RSA market and it seems that RL15 sits about two spots slower on the burn chart. K | |||

My Somchem data pamphlet (1997 version courtesy of Suburban Guns) shows S335 close to IMR 3031 which I have no experience with. S365 is close to IMR 4350 by the burn rate chart on p. 32, and by the data on p. 53 for Barnes "X" bullets I'd guess you could start with the max load for 300-grainers and S335 to work up 340-grainers' loads. Not sure what powders you have available, and no proven loads to suggest other than those previously given. Cheers! Barry _______________________ | |||

@Kiri: I used 65 grain RL15 out of a Win 70 and got 2287fps and bolt lift etc. seems all on the conservative side. | |||
