I don't see very much discussion about Nosler E Tip bullets on this site. Anybody use them?
If so, what are your impressions of them.

I'm also curious, mono metal bullets are the future. I don't feel the need to reinvent the wheel. And there is a wealth of information on this forum.

I just ordered some 250 gr. 9.3 mm. E-tip bullets from shootersproshop.com. I had really great luck with the Barnes 250 gr TTSX in my Ruger #1 9.3x62 on two trips to Africa, so I decided to try some of the Noslers. I would like to hear if anyone has tried these bullets.

I personally have never gotten the accuracy out of the E-tips that I do the TSX or the Northforks.

I also note that the velocity and load data for the e tips seems to lag behind the other Nosler products, I suspect like the original Barnes X it has some pressure issues.

E-tips are more expensive than X bullets. Picked up a few boxes on clearance (obviously I wasn't the only person who thought they were overpriced). Tried 3 different E-tip bullets and have been disappointed with their accuracy. These have been shot in rifles that shoot the Barnes bullets very well. I have one rifle that seems to be grouping the 168 gr 30 cal bullets good enough to use on game,so maybe there is a chance. Don't think I will be rushing out to buy a bunch more.

I have been using the 180 grain in 300 RUM at just over 3300 FPS for several years. Recovered 3 from moose, all three were perfect mushrooms against the opposite hide. They all weighed 178 grains. Apparently only loosing the tip. 3 others were not recovered due to pass through but appeared to expand well judging by wound channels. The best shhoting bullet I've used in one of my 300s and shot well in the other but trophy bonded 200s shot slightly better in the second one.
I've also gotten good accuracy with the 168 grain in 308 but haven't hunted with it.
Hope this helps.

When Jerry Easley rebarrels my Mark V from .300 Wby to 7mm Weatherby, I'll use some 162-grain ELD-X Hornadys (bought on sale) for load development. Isn't that about the same thing?
Anyhow, after I see how 160-grain Trophy Bonded Tip works out, that is. Federal factory offering looks like MAGNUM compressed load to me, FWIW. Gonna see how IMR 4831 does first.

I shoot the 140 E-Tip in my 7mm-08 backed by 40 grains of Varget . They shoot great for me . Have taken 3 deer so far with it . I've only had the rifle a couple years . It prints nice on paper as well . This is my experience , real world stuff .

They wouldn't shoot out of my 8 rem mag and ran at considerably higher pressures than other same weight bullet/powders. As evidenced by a significantly sticky bolt lift

No, ELD-X is not a monometal bullet
