I have 2 30-06's. I did alot of loading for my first gun and then added a bolt action to my aresenal. I'd like to try some of the ammo I loaded for the first gun in the 2nd gun but the headspace is just off enough that the bolt closes very hard.

MY QUESTION IS.....can I use a redding body die to "bump back the shoulder" on this loaded ammo??? I'm thinking yes.....but need to know for sure. Thanks

Personally I've done this kind of thing for a few rounds from time to time. I've seen arguements pro & con. I'm not happy but I do it.

If it were to go off, the die would give the powder enough containment to cause quite an explosion...

Redding says in the flyer that is inclided with body dies: "don't use on loaded ammo".
