I need brass for my .416 Rigby, I prefer Hornady brass but all of the normal outlets(Midway, Graf & Sons, MidSouth Shooters Supply) are out and say the brass is backordered at Hornady....anyone have any idea where brass can be found? I can find Norma brass, but really don't like the brass (plus it's twice as expensive), thanks for any help.

Thanks, I've got orders in with Midway and Graf, didn't think about the WTB route though...I'll try that too.

I recently bought some 416R Jamison brass from Graf's and have been less than enthused about it.

The rim thicknesses seems to vary a great deal with ~10% of the cases being very difficult to get in and out of the shell holder. 1 piece was so thick it simply would not fit into the holder at all.

Of course, it's better than nothing but at the cost premium over Hornady I can't recommend it. I had very similar experiences with some Jamison 45 Colt brass as well... which was the only brand available at the time.

I'm beginning to understand why Jamison seems to always be available..... hah

I'm with you on that one....I haven't heard much good about Jamison brass and I've gotten really good service from Hornady brass.

Marc (Jamison) is getting better now that the civilian brass has his full attention.
