My 300 H&H likes both ends of the spectrum.....125 ballistic tips and 200 grain A-Frames.....take your pick and go shooting.

I load 165 grain sierra boatails for really big game like crats...lol When you shoot you dispose of the evidence... I also have some 220 grainers for them there really big tom crats.

On the serious note the 165 grainers work well. I load them in front of 77.4 grains Hogdon 4831. This load works very well in an old 721 Remington.

Since Hodgdon has given the old IMR line the short cut treatment, I decided to experiment with 7828 in the 300 H&H. FWIW...
-IMR 7828 SSC 71.5 gr
-Nosler Accubond 200 gr
-Fed F215
-Vel 3091FPS
