Are you speaking of Speer, or is it Federal brass used with their "Fusion" line of bullets? In any event, if the brass is boxer primed and is made of brass and not steel or aluminum, then it is reloadable. Where would the notion that it is not come from?

The fusion 7-08 I shot looks like normal brass to me. I haven't reloaded it yet but will...........DJ ....Remember that this is all supposed to be for fun!..................

I meant federal sorry,a gunshop salesman told me this & he says he called and talked to federal about this issue and they confirmed it,he says they said thats why they sale the ammo so cheap, its not there best brass and shouldnt be reloaded. He claimed they had a recording on the phone about fusion bullets/brass also confirming this issue. Sounds like federal should put a safety warning on there boxs if this is actually true?I just wondered if anyone hear has heard this about the brass?I dont know one way or the other....

Looks like ho hum factory ammo to me.......no mention of its "loadability". Those people at Federal sure have the "hype" thing down.

. . . . and did you know that the bulge in the barrel of the old Rem 721's was a tight spot in the bore to swage the bullet down for better accuracy?

Been reloading it in 30-06 and 300 Win Mag, and it works just fine. Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

There's BS handed out in gunshops than in most cow pastures. It sure smells like this salesmans story is just another pile of it...............DJ ....Remember that this is all supposed to be for fun!..................

The brass must meet a standard equal to the safety requirement of the cartridge it was sold in. I agree.....bullshit has been spread heavy here. I'd reload it in a heartbeat! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." If it was true, I'm sure there would be some sort of caveat on their packaging.

I just spoke with Federal and they said "It is perfectly reloadable". Same brass as any other loading. Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

Yup, he wanted to sell you some more ammo. Walk softly and carry a big bore!

IMO, if boxer-primed brass is not suitable to be reloaded, it is not suitable to be fired the first time..... "Bitte, trinks du nicht das Wasser. Dahin haben die Kuhen gesheissen."

Amen to that. Just remember the next time he's trying to sell you something that he flat out lied to you this time. Call his bluff. Tell him you'd like to hear his "recording" from on the phone. --------------------------------- It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it
