I had no choice. When to my kitchen window and saw 4-6 crows. At first i just made some noise, i live in a populated area where hunting and such fun things are not allowed, so i was just trying to scare 'em off. Well they didn't wanna go, but they had to, I didn't put that damn feed out for them. So after trying to scare 'em off for a couple min. i went to my room, and at first grabbed my high power air rifle, ya know one of them 1000FPS ones, but thought it would be heard by neighbors, so i grabbed my lil' old wal-mart bought BB pistol and when to the window, rested the gun on the window seal took aim and fired, bird didn't even twich just POW! dead. like i sad i HAD to do it

I bet the others got outa your yard fast when his buddy hit the dirt.

I hate going to Wally World, ALWAYS a few crows in the parking lot, and you CANT make'm leave, hell If it was'nt for the cams on the roof I'd carry my BB gun and have some fun while the wife shops.

I just wish I could of get the other ones. Oh well, I'll get 'em all one day. Bastards are lucky I can't use my shotgun where I live or there'd be dead crows all underneith the feeder.

Tie a peanut to a piece of monofiliment near the feeder. They will tussle with it while you pick 'em off. Maybe.

I had a place with a large pond about 100 yds from the house. Had some ducks at the time and when the pond froze over I would take a bucket of corn down to the ducks every morning.
I keep my .243 by the kitchen window and would target practice on the crows that dropped by for dinner.
They didn't seem to learn to stay away.

Just use the air rifle but sit well inside the window. I do it all the time and my neighbors are none the wiser. I shoot all kinds of "targets" behind my house and they never hear it. I actually shot a big grackle off my bird feeder then walked out to chat. One of them commented on the dead bird but could not figure out what happened to it. I just said it was his time to go.

May they never figure it out.

As my crusty mind starts reeling,I remember a post here abouts.
Seems some Good Ole Boys had em a pickup with a topper on it.They cut the roof out of it and would lie down in the bed.Another would drive the truck around the neighborhood, coming to a stop under crows and pigeons perched on WalMart parking lot light poles and various telephone wires. The guys in the bed would light the birds up with pellet rifles, out thru the missing roof. rotflmo
Innocent bystanders couldn't hear the shots but noticed pigeons and crows were doing Kamikazee dives into the parked cars.
If I get time here at work(?),I'll post the story about a decoy slut pigeon that I shot 6 stud pigeons off of. Smiler

I started useing the rifle today, figured oh well, if I get caught i'm only 16 and will hope they just give me a slap on the wirst, only got 2 crow today, let my lil brother try but he is more into NASCAR then shooting so he missed, gonna have to take 'em to the farm soon and teach him how to shoot, I don't think he was paying attention when my father taught him.
