Excellent idea sir, might I suggest a touch of yellow? It will more properly mimic the Dorado, an favorite morsel of the marlin!

As an aside, calico crats are naturally imbued with suitable color patterns for a variety of majestic sport fish, to include the mako shark. If you have some in the area it works best to use a large kite and use the 'dip 'n dunk' technique for arousing their hunger. An old Keys trick from days gone by.

BTW, which stretch of the River of No Return has Marlin?
