| AC, I think most of the folks in this house are keepers rather than traders, sorry. You might be able to borrow something from one of the other hunters if there are any where you're heading, or perhaps the guide if there is one. OR, you might want to do one of two other things...head for a gun store with Marlin in hand, or load some 300 gr XTP's and go for it. The .44 mag with 300 gr bullets in a rifle does a good job of approximating the .45-70 ballistics(older factory loads) and the .454 Casul. Not a long range thing certainly but put in the right place and it will do the job. Me, I'd probably trade up in your shoes, but the .44 is one heck of a cat whacker.
