I thing your friend has been teaching his son well. I wonder if he calls a cat a cat or a target? Probably depends on who asks him. I guess if you showed the kid a swamp he would call it a target range. It could be embarassing to take him to the zoo. I can hear it now. "Daddy, why do they keep all the targets in cages??".
