Nyganga, What can you tell me about the papyrus on the sitatunga mount? It can't be real? Great mount BTW and a stunning sitatunga. Nice collection of everything else too. Mark, The artificial papyrus was very difficult to find, My taxidermist told me just the other day that it is now not available. I think it really makes the mount. What you can't see is the bull is standing in water about 8 inchs deep, with water dripping off of both out of water feet. Taxidermist also fought me on the amount of cover OVER the bull's body, covering up his work. I asked him if he had ever seen Sitatunga habitat??? (nope) Nganga Formerly "Nganga" | |||

Nganga I wondered as I've never seen artificial papyrus. It does ad a great deal of reality to the mount. Your right about the cover where you find sitatunga. Two steps and they're completely covered up. Can I ask how big the sitatunga bull is? It looks to be about 30"???? Mark MARK H. Good grief, what a fantastic trophy room! Many great and unique mounts, and incredibly good taste. I like the way you grouped the North American and African mounts separately. Never did like the two continents together on the same wall, but hey, that's just me. The sitatunga, lion/hyena, leopard, lying kudu, nyala, cape buff and croc are to die for (as are all your other mounts!) | |||

Tony, I think it was 2003? the year we had the big snow the day before opening day. saw 3-400 deer before noon. passed on 180's. Shot it down by lone pine. Drew same tag last year 12A W early. shot about a 180 last day. Nganga Formerly "Nganga" | |||

Frank is a good guide. I've done articles on several of the bucks his hunters have taken on the NK. I hunted the Kaibab many times during the 60s and early 70s, but it's been tough getting a permit in the last two decades. For the last 7-8 years, the late hunts there have been the only choices I make on my app., but I've got only BPs to show for it so far.
