No I haven`t Ann,shot it back in 1999,with Peter Barnard,He was P.H.ing for Big Five Safaris.
Watched the Leopard for an hour and 5 mins, was amazing experience.Peter was begging me to shoot, I was doing sums in the sand,we Brits not being as rich as our American friends Big Grin
Shot the Buff on 2nd day and the Leopard on 3rd day.

I have nice video of Pete and another PH, Buzz Charlton finishing a wounded lion in '05. I was sharing a camp with Pete and his client. Pete is quite the trickster! The client wounded a real nice lion, an old warrior, Pete had to sort it out and had Buzz to help him.

Ask Pete about that if you happen to chat with him again. I am not giving away the details but it could have been one of those seriously soiled shorts situations, if you know what I mean. Eeker

As a Brit looks like you're well off enough to tell a good buffalo and leopard story. Tell! cheers

I will try and tell the Leopard story.
Myself and Peter had set some baits out for hyenas just for a bit of fun.
We built the blind approx 100 yrds from the bait, which was the Buffalo I shot.
When we walked into the blind before daybreak we spooked a treeful od Baboons, so we thought we had spoiled the day,we carried on though and made it to the blind,we thought we could se something on the bait, but wasn`t sure, whatever it was moved off, and we did think it was Hyenas,so we sat and waited, and we were contemplating moving on, but we could just make something out, as it got light we could see what it was, was my leopard Smiler
so, we watched it as Peter started on his selling technique, and like I said I was doing sums in the sand,as I knew how much I had brought with me and I am bit old fashioned and wont have anything if I can`t pay for it.
But the Peter said the magic words...."you can pay for when you get home" Smiler so I said thank you and "bang".
I hit it well with the first shot, but boy did it jump, no words of exageration, I`m sure it leapt 6ft off the ground, and was bouncing around like a mad thing, I shot again and missed, after a while we approached the bait and it was lead there dead.
I am very proud of my "trophy" but if I hadn`t have pulled the trigger that day, I would have been just as proud and pleased as we had sat there for over an hour and watched that Leopard, pulling lumps off the Buff carcase, cleaning itself etc, to me that 1 hour is as much of a trophy than the rug I got here now.
I could go to Africa and not pull the trigger and have a wonderful time, but I couldn`t go and not take a rifle !

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

John, very nice and well done. Was that hunt in the Chewore North with Big Five? I was there in 1991, and my hert still longs to return. Great pictures.
