My "Trophy Room" is just my den--the closed cabinet hides the TV. I am also providing some photos of my built-in gun cabinet and the display coffee table where I have some antique pistols. I ran out of space in the den, so the last photo is of the "overflow" in my office. The pics are a little dark on my screen, but from what I can see, it looks like some great memories. Who is that on the floor by the TV cabinet? NRA Endowment Life Member

Very nice.I am really jealous with those of you who can have your guns on display, rather then behind a safe door. Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war; That this foul deed shall smell above the earth With carrion men, groaning for burial.

The ideal Retreat .. just great. I love the high ceilings, the furnishings, lamps, tables .. everything. And so orderly! But where are the books?

The dog is Flint, my old runt female lab--she's not stuffed like the others! The books are in the guest bedroom. There are no bookshelves in the den. There were bookshelves, where the built-in gun cabinet is now. A cabinet-maker prefab'd the gun case in his shop, pulled out the bookshelves and installed the gun cabinet. Took less than an hour to switch out, and wasn't all that expensive--about $500, as I recall. NE: That is a very nice and "warm" trophy room. I very much like the color scheme and I LOVED the gun case. I've always wanted one like that, but even though we have thehouse alarmed, I'm paranoid of thieves! congrats on a great room and great trophies. jorge USN (ret) DRSS Verney-Carron 450NE Cogswell & Harrison 375 Fl NE Sabatti Big Five 375 FL Magnum NE DSC Life Member NRA Life Member

Nevermind the dog, I want to know what species he hunts in the straw hat with the pink ribbon. Great looking room! ______________________ Hunting: I'd kill to participate.

The hat belonged to my late wife, who wore it when she went to the field with me--she hunted a little, mostly opening day of dove season. So we hung it next to the gun cabinet. I guess since I've remarried I ought to take it down-- LTC, USA, RET Benefactor Life Member, NRA Member, SCI & DSC Proud son of Texas A&M, Class of 1969 "A man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's a heaven for?" Mighty fine. Impressive gun cabinet. Discuss the hat with your current wife and judge by what she has to say whether to put it somewhere else. Am sure she knows how much it means to you and she's understanding. That makes life easier. George "Gun Control is NOT about Guns' "It's about Control!!" Join the NRA today!" LM: NRA, DAV, George L.
