baboonVery nice.I am really jealous with those of you who can have your guns on display, rather then behind a safe door.

With carrion men, groaning for burial.

Nice collection.

NickuduThe ideal Retreat .. just great.
I love the high ceilings, the furnishings, lamps, tables .. everything. And so orderly!

But where are the books?
10 March 2006, 21:22
Nitro ExpressThe dog is Flint, my old runt female lab--she's not stuffed like the others!
The books are in the guest bedroom. There are no bookshelves in the den. There
were bookshelves, where the built-in gun cabinet is now. A cabinet-maker prefab'd the gun case in his shop, pulled out the bookshelves and installed the gun cabinet. Took less than an hour to switch out, and wasn't all that expensive--about $500, as I recall.

jorgeNE: That is a very nice and "warm" trophy room. I very much like the color scheme and I LOVED the gun case. I've always wanted one like that, but even though we have thehouse alarmed, I'm paranoid of thieves! congrats on a great room and great trophies. jorge

Nice collection.
Nevermind the dog, I want to know what species he hunts in the straw hat with the pink ribbon.

Great looking room!

Possibly a trophy from a different kind of conquest?

Nitro ExpressThe hat belonged to my late wife, who wore it when she went to the field with me--she hunted a little, mostly opening day of dove season. So we hung it next to the gun cabinet.
I guess since I've remarried I ought to take it down--

georgeldMighty fine.
Impressive gun cabinet.
Discuss the hat with your current wife and judge by what she has to say whether to put it somewhere else. Am sure she knows how much it means to you and she's understanding. That makes life easier.
