Kiri, Third from left is a Kafue lechwe from Zambia. Furthest left is also a lechwe but the red variety from Boswana. Mark MARK H. I did this one a few years back for a fellow. He had hunted it with dogs and it bayed up on the ground then attacked when the humans cam in view.  He had the table top glass cut to match the base profile which was designed in the shape of the African continent. Mike, Wow. that is one of the nicest leopard mounts that I have seen. ______________________ I don't shoot elk at 600 yards for the same reasons I don't shoot ducks on the water, or turkeys from their roosts. If this confuses you then you're not welcome in my hunting camp. | |||

this was originallly intended to be a wall mount but after it arrived i realized that a lot of the detail would be lost if you looked at it from below up on the wall. so i bought a piece of furniture and bolted it to the back. now it sits in my trophy room at eye level against a glass block wall  Vote Trump- Putin’s best friend… To quote a former AND CURRENT Trumpiteer - DUMP TRUMP | |||

I'm very curious. With the present requirement for treated wood for packaging, etc. - would they even let you use a real tree limb for taxidermy anymore, and how would you have to prove the treatment? I would hate to have a trophy held up at import for something like that. | |||

when i get a chance, i will take some more pics and post them. i have about 25-28 shoulder mounts plus a pedestal cape buff, and full body warthog in the front entryway into the house. as regards the tree limb, i am not sure if the USFW and Customs in San Fran even opened the crate( it sure didn't look like they did). the limb itself is most defintely real- you can take your fingernail and peel off splinters if you try!!! i have no idea if ithe limb had been treated but the wood on the crate had the appropriate stamps on it. Howdy. The cat was mounted at Tri-State Taxidermy in Houston, TX. It is a large cat from Zim. Seven feet four inches in length. Skull was 15 and 15/16. I do not have a recorded weight so I can't tell you. The entire mount with bushbuck is impressive but I still need to take some good pics of total composition. When I get them I will post them up. | |||

Smarter, that is very nice, except the nose. Not the right shade of pink IMO. Perhaps the Taxidermist can touch it up without too much effort? Then it would be perfect. One of the better mounts I've seen.... "...Them, they were Giants!" J.A. Bwanamich, Nose coloration varies widely with leopards. This nose was matched to a photo. Flash on camera makes it look a little pinky in photo. I killed another leopard that had an all black nose with one little pink spot. I have seen another cat that had a very light brown nose. Thanks for the input though. | |||

My wife and I had the distinct honor of visiting Dr. Tim and his family last evening, our main goal being to see the leopard mount he has shown us above. My only comment is that the photo does not EVEN come close to representing how magnificint that leopard is! Tim, you and Val were most gracious and you gotta know we are even more stoked about our impending trip now. How about posting your buffalo for the AR folks?
