Gemsbok is 37", but very heavy. Pedestal is a very old kudu bull with lots of scarring and character. 51 1/2", but big curls. The long stretched out kudu on wall with gemsbok is 56", but 49" wide tip-to-tip! Long or short, they're all gorgeous and the memories last a lifetime.

In my opinion, total length on a kudu isn't everything - the straight line length is - and when they get to be close to 4 feet long as yours appears to be, they are much more impressive. In other words, a 56 with tight curls (like yours) is much more impressive than a 56 with deep curls. I would be a million buck that wide kudu came from Namibia - they seem to be more common there.

AzW: Very good eye, each horn is 45" from base to tip on a straight line, and it is 49" wide from tip to tip. It did come from Erindi in Namibia, and I hope to better it this next year on a leopard huntin April 2007.
