My wife is building another house (I am pretty sure in retaliation for all my hunts) and I am finally getting a chance to do a proper trophy room. Personally I am happiest in a fly camp and really don't want to go through the building process but such are the differences in gender. I will put up some pics of the room once the trim is done but wanted to share a find I made on hand carved doors. Africarve in S. Africa did the below doors and I couldn't be happier with the quality, price and service. My wife who is a non-hunter and her decorator friend are even impressed. Here is a link to their website and shipped by air to Houston they are cheaper than the US front doors to the new home. I highly recommend them.

Those are some awesome looking doors! I notice they don't have handles, are you going to make handles for them out of a horn or warthog tusk?

I look forward to seeing the finished room. How big will it be?

I ordered them without handles or other hardware so my builder could fit it. I was thinking some kind of horn for handles and your suggestion on warthog may be a good choice. thanks

I imagine hippo tusk would work well too.

Looks like Obama might have ordered his doors from page 2 of the Religious Doors page

One of my friends/PH in Limpopo has similar doors at his lodge. They are really impressive in person. Yours look great! They will really add to your room.
