Okey, just to add some pressure on my self to finish my trophy room I decided to put out some photos.
Mye new trophy room is finished on the outside, and the work inside have just started. Within a couple of months I hope to be able to hang mounts. Smiler

It's just a bit under 70 square meters, with ceilings at 5,3 m. Sidewalls at 3,3 m.

Looks like it's going to be a nice place. Are you going to cover the walls in plywood so you don't have to worry about finding a stud?

Thanks!

Yes, guess it will be enough for most mounts. Maybe I need to find a stud for large, heavy mounts. Using 3/4 plywood or similar material.

Will start insulating this evening! Smiler

The inside pics of your room sure look bigger than the outside would allow.

Your room looks like it will hold quite a few mounts. How many do you have now?

I don't have a lot of mounts so far. 6 fullmounts (pygmy antelopes), appr. 20 shoulder mounts of various size and some euro mounts, skulls and flatskins.

Think I'll be ok for a while space wise. Smiler

Nice start Anders. It looks very strong.

I wish our lumber looked as good as that in your trophy room.

What is your roof material? Is it metal?

Yeah right. This didn't actually work. But I've been able to have som progress. Big Grin

A couple of pics on recent situation. The roof is finished. All electrical work is done. And the walls are almost covered with wood. Will add sheetrock to get a smooth surface.
My first post was in Oct., but now I really hope to be able to hang mounts within a couple of months.. Smiler

Please tell me this is a typo and you are not covering up all that beautiful wood.

Thanks for letting me feel like a part of your construction process.

Hadn't thought of that! Shit! Big Grin

The floor is wood (plywood). There will be a "plastic" floor. Don't know what it's called in english. No heating in the floor.

Heating will be done with a heat pump, that also can adjust humidity.

Finished covering the walls with sheetrock. I'm getting close to hanging mounts now. Smiler

So Anders, you put the wood covering behind the sheet rock to be able to securely fasten screws where ever you want??

Looks really nice. What are you going to do to the sheet rock?? Wall paper or just paint?

Thanks Mike!

Yes, the wood is just for beeing able to hang mounts where ever I want, not needing to look for a stud.

At the moment we're putting spatula (is that what it's called?) between the junctures. Will paint directly on the sheetrock.
Makes it easier to fix holes from screws than if I use wall paper. Of course it's is more fragile than if I use wall paper, but this room will not be for big parties or soccer anyway Big Grin
