Not a trophy room picture but my first trophy mounted and finished from last years South Africa visit.

Custom made shield that I thought might interest some. House is still in a state of destruction thanks to builders so I could even find anywhere to hang it on the wall for a picture! Or a proper camera so forgive the iphone pics

I rather like it. Has a very "old world" feel to it.

It looks great. I like creative ways to display, but I am not creative enough.

I am going to add your photos to my idea folder in case I get another opportunity at a wartie, or a hog with decent tusks.

Very classy. Really nice. Custom made based off what...your design?

Yes was custom made.

Design was a discussion between me and the carver. We decided on the Acacia around the outside with Mopane as the cover. I did consider making the Shield shape either a Baobab or Acacia silhouette but went conservative in the end.

He has done some lovely Boar and Roe Buck shields with Oak leaf detail as well. I will post some pics if I can find them.
