I am interrested in some input on powder for my Mod 70 30/06 and the 30HBC. I shot a load of 14.5 gr of old SR4756 and it was quite accurate, under 2" at 50yds, but dirty.

I thought I heard that 2400 would work. Has anybody had any luck with this boolet?

I shoot a .308 and got very good accuracy in the 1600-1700 fps range with WC 846, roughly inch 50 yard groups. Full house loads are reputed to take some doing and I have not put much effort into them.

I've had good luck (2 m.o.a. or better)with 15gr. & 16gr. milsurp WC 820 with the 30HBC in my '06. However, the velocity isn't very high. If you don't have WC 820, you can try 11gr. - 13gr. of Unique. ...Maven
