Own a cast bullet company that was doing major production on the east coast in 2010-2018. Combination of a major spring storm destroying machinery and Maryland environmental agencies caused me to shut it down. Considered restarting in 2021...but could not find teachable talent to man the casting and sizing machines.

Not being a fan of powder coating, but sensing a lot of new reloaders starting the sport. Would appreciate thoughts on viability of renewing efforts. Political environment is better, shipping costs worse.....

Good products at a good price should sell

With the current climate totally against lead and cost of shipping I sure as hell wouldn't start a cast bullet company. Us casters use to get wheelweights, but that has been shut down as they don't make them out of the lead alloy anymore.

Any of you ever hear American Bullets? Friend started that back in the 80's I believe. Started with cast then went to jacketed, then shut it down.

I'm in Maryland, and in the smaller gunshops I see Proofmark cast billets for sale. They're from down in Virginia iirc. So at least some local market for cast bullets. Good luck!
