Norman, I am about three hours away normally (live about 40 miles S of Houston) but right now I am working in Wisconsin. I expect to be up here until the end of the year, but yes, I would consider selling "some" of it when I get back to Texas. How much are you looking to buy, and at what kind of price?

I have several sticks about 13 1/2" long that say 60/40 NO AMERICAN ALLOY 60/40
Would that be 60% lead, 40% tin?

I would think so. If the alloy producer is still in business you can probably look them up and see how they marked their alloys.

There's a guy selling block tin on ebay for $33.00 a pound. I don't know if I'm allowed to post this here but I have some block tin I don't need and that I would sell at a reasonable price.

Norman Conquest: I guess I should PM you but I don't see the prompt or mechanism for sending PMs in this site: I have four ingots of block tin. I don't know the actual purity except that they are really hard, yet, melt readily in my casting furnace. As weighted on a health club digital scale: 9 lb, 8.5 lb, 12.2 lb, and 9 lb.

These days you are lucky to find linotype for $1.50 plus shipping. $2.00 is more likely. The only place I know of who can supply it for that price is http://www.missouribullet.com/index.php

They are in the business of selling bullets, not linotype, so getting an order place might take a while.
