Came into a batch of .44 cal cast rifle bullets recently, & noticed that I could easily turn quite a few of the gas checks. They don't fall off - at least not in my hand, they just turn.... How much of a problem is this really? Any potential for bore damage? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Regards - GCF "Sometimes you make eight - Sometimes you hit dirt"

I have a 35 cal mold that cast the gas check shanks undersize, and hence gaschecks are always loose on those bullets. I've cast and shot 1000's of them from 357 mag, 357 max, 35 whelen and 350 Rigby with no problems. __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.

Paul - Thanks for the word on this. Be a shame to scrap out a good bullet... Regards - GCF "Sometimes you make eight - Sometimes you hit dirt"
