Killed by some hunters in New Zealand. It weighed in at 533 lbs...dressed, presumably.

That'a a monster !!!
Crossbreeding with domestic pigs is the only way to go that size, do you see the pink nose?

Why I don't jump into one of these when roaming around with my rifle... CRYBABY

Most of the really big hogs you see look a lot like domestic hogs. I'm sure that most of these hogs are very recent decendents of domestic hogs and some of them were probably even in some farmers pen earlier in their life.

Real big these crosses are very dangerous for the dogs ,i killed one not so big in the past and it almost destroyed my dogos .ill post a photo .juan

Not necessarily. Pure Russian hogs can get well over 500 lbs. and I have seen them over 600 lbs. However, this one is obviously very much crossed with a domestic pig.

i wonder if they needed a permit to drive the car on the road being 2 ft wider than normal!!!!!
got a mate on the south island has been whinging about pigs ripping up his farm.... may need to pay a visit!

I don't in any way dispute that this pig is not too many generations feral but I believe that the color on it's nose is blood.Also look at the erect ears.I always suspect a floppy eared pig as more likely to be RECENTLY LIBERATED.
