Here are a couple. The 1st one I haven't hunted with, but have heard good things.

www.whiteoakhunting.com/

They are in south central Ohio.

The next one I have hunted with, and it was a great hunt, with a lot of russian type hogs on the property.

www.wildernesshuntinglodge.com/

The are located in central Tennessee.

Hog Heaven Outfitters, Johnston County, North Carolina. It's fair chase hunt on 2,000 acres. I hunted there six or seven times this year.

Both of those outfits are costly. That said, they look like nice places to hunt.

By the time you look at all of the costs, Hog Heaven and Wilderness are about the same price. $400-$450 per day for hog Heaven and $750 for three days for Wilderness with meals lodging and field dressing. I have heard good things about both. Of course for me, it wouldbe expensive because I would tack on a cow elk or Bison or......

You go with a bigger group to Hog Heaven and you pay less. Plus, at that rate it is a hog a day. You can feasibly take two on a two day minimum. I just have trouble stomaching $700 + for one animal -- especially for a pig! No insult meant to the pigs! Big Grin

No, it might be a big pig! jumping

Free range hunts are hit or miss, but I have seen some really big hogs at Hog Heaven. I'll back down there when it warms up a bit!

My son and I are going with David Knox at Roan Branch Hunting Preserve in December for deer and hogs. He spent almost 2 hrs. Sunday talking with me and showing me all over his hunting area. Free range totally and lots of sign. Web site is

Wife wants to go shoot a hog first of the year. She was very impressed with David and totally supports our planned hunt. Without meaning to brag, in the 42 yrs. I have known her, her opinion of someone new is always right. Take it or leave it, I will spend my $$ with him.

we are back from Wilderness hunting lodge. Had a good time, food was good, guides were fun. This was our first hog hunt, but sure won't be our last. These things are fun

We all got one the first day by "spot and stalk". Guides said "go here or there or there",....so we loaded up and went huntin just us 3 guys, no guide. We figured out the whole thing by lunchtime and by the end of the day, we were done.

Those boys came in around 5AM the next morning, and by 8AM, all three hogs were cut, vaccume sealed, and labeled. So we jumped in the truck and started on our 12hr drive.
