They needed a good catch dog, then the hunter would almost certainly still be alive. As far as shooting him in the ass goes, he didn't make a good shot, most of the time with a decent caliber an ass shot will take them out pretty shortly. Before anyone cries foul, at least in the US, when you're hunting/shooting them as crop depredators, you take any shot you can get. If you recover them fine, if not, good enough. xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. Texas heart shots are very viable shots in my opinion -- as long as what you are shooting is capable of deep penetration.
