Here are some photos of a Boar shot just west of Sydney on a weekend hunt last winter.
I used a 7x64 barrel in my Blaser Attache with 162grn RWS TIG projectiles for this one.
We use a light fly camp and stalk creek systems and glass Black Berry choked valleys on this land for Wild pigs, goats and foxes.

I see that we share the same taste in rifles.

I have 4 stocks for the R93 and 11 barrels, a K95 with 3 barrels.

The total range of switchability makes them hard to beat.

I have my eyes on a Attache next.

I'll just echo what everyone else said -- nice pig and good-looking country to hunt them in.

Never mind that "nice porker" crap. Tell me about the recipies - allowing for the fact that some of these things tend to have strange odors when cooked (I am talking about old commercial farm hogs which smell like armpits when cooked).

I am a pork chop freak Ermeritus - mostly as sandwiches. I know even a cheap chop, if the right cut of cheap chop, can be pan fried with assorted goodies and have excellent flavor.

Nice boar.

Is that type of feral boar typical for the area hunted? It appears to be regressing nicely.

Take any pork from him?

NitroX,
A couple times a year we take pigs of this size, shape and form, in particular during winter when the Big Boars come up from the valley with the mobs and eat carrion. For this reason we dont eat the big animals.
During good times when the smaller pigs are feeding on clover etc we do take the pork.
