| A number of people have attempted raising wild boars in pens in Manitoba and Saskatchewan only to find they were not as good at building pens as the wild boars were at getting out of them. The result is there are now wild boars at large in both provinces. We normally see a couple weeks of -40 degree weather each winter and the hogs seem to manage just fine. Wild boars can be hunted in Manitoba without a license. They do ask that the nearest game warden be notified where and when any hogs are shot. |

| How far north does the climate support wild pigs? I always see Texas, Florida, Lousiana, but the wild boars or Germany and Russia have to be more tolerant of the cold...I think. So just how far up the east coast can you find wild pig hunting?
