Here is some wartie pics from our plains game hunt, in Limpopo RSA, July 2008. I've always loved hog hunting. Any serious pig hunter, should hunt them one time in their life! Hope you enjoy the pics!

My wartie, taken with .45-70 guide gun.

Doc's hog. Taken with a Marlin XLR, .308 MX, using leverevolution amm.

Doc's son's warthog. Taken with .338 win mag.

My son's warthog, taken with NEF handi rifle, .30-06

Pigs at a remote water tank.

Sow and young uns at a waterhole.

We hunted with

www.cruisersafaris.com/

Of course we took a lot of other game, I posted about the trip in the african hunting reports section, but for me the pigs were a huge amount of fun, and I just wanted to post the pics of them here.

The last warthog I shot went 17 plus on both tusks, and they are over 3 inches wide..I shot him across the road from the Seliti Game preserve near Kruger Park..all that area up their has the best warthogs in all of Africa IMO..I was hunting with Hannes Swanapoels Big Five Safaris, whom I book for..Pictures of this big piggie can be seen on my web page.

I love to hunt wart hogs..I like to spot and stalk them or just walk them up.

I'm with you. Love hunting warties. Can't wait until I'm back there next year.

This one was taken with a .308 Win. That's my 12 year old son backing me up with his knobkerrie.

You've got to love the piggies. Did you ever see them charge into an electrical fence? The most hilarious thing I have ever seen!

David,
The pic dated 30-10-2005 is of a truly stunning pig. The tusks are very simetrical and long. Best on I've seen yet. Hope you mounted to teeth on a shield.
