Bobby-haven’t been able to do the ammo testing of the ammo you recommended as the thermal sco0pe has gone tits-up again. It’s back at the distributor for service. I surely hope they decide it is non-repairable and then offer me a super discount on a new scope. Report to follow. An old pilot, not a bold pilot, aka "the pig murdering fool"

Well, dang...that unit has proved to be problematic, for sure. Other than the high-end models with the highest resolution, it's a bit iffy to test ammo with a thermal anyway, so going back to a traditional scope for a while might give you a chance to wring out those loads and see which your rifle prefers. Do you have a small light to go atop your scope for the time being? The Elusive Wildlife Technologies Kill Lights and similar competing models are small and pretty effective. I prefer the red as my eyes don't do that well with the green. Anyway, if you don't, I think I have a spare here along with the easy-on, easy-off mount that I can loan you for as long as you need. Those lights aren't all that big: ![]() ![]() Bobby Μολὼν λαβέ The most important thing in life is not what we do but how and why we do it. - Nana Mouskouri

If possible I always shoot the sows first! A never ending chore on my place in east Texas. Keep yer powder dry and yer knife sharp.
