Decided to be a little patient and wait for 2 to line up this morning and wound up with these 2 shoats. Both are boars, and the range was app. 170 yards. The smaller of the 2 was in the front; the other was a few yards behind him. The 129 grain SP took both through the shoulders and exited. The entrance on the 2nd hog was slightly larger than a nickel but smaller than a quarter. The exit on the 2nd was quarter-sized.

MV of the load is 2639 fps from the 26" MGM barrel in 6.5mm Bullberry IMP.

I almost forgot to say THANK YOU to Geedubya for the brass. I had just fireformed a batch of these a week or so back -- and this was the first hunting load I fired at game with it.

Got a bunch of it formed and loaded up in 25x30-30 for Joey (our oldest; he's 17). He's going to be ticked when he gets home later because he has been ansy to put some pork in his crosshairs, and this morning would have been a perfect opportunity for him.

But he stayed in town at a friend's last night so their band could practice and so they could work on some of their new music.

So I plan to rub it in when he gets back -- and I've printed out a picture and stuck it to his door. Guess I am a bit evil... Big Grin

Heck, I might even call him and tell him to buy some ice -- for the piggies. Wink

You snooze you loose.

If we can't poke fun at our kids what good are they. Life's lessons are hard sometimes, LOL. I think photos and phone call are a given.
