Just got back from a great weekend of friends, food, fun and hogs. Took 12 of us down to Dilley, Texas and worked out some pent up frustration from work. We took 33 hogs, 4 coyotes, 1 raccoon, 1 possum and a few rabbits. Met some new friends, gave some old ones a hard time and several of us bloodied some new guns. I took hogs with my new Tika 22-250, my Dads Remington 270 win and my DOD (Delever of Death) Savage 7 MM STW. I bet we had 30 rifles between all of us, and thats not counting the pistols.

It started raining about 1:30 Saturday afternoon and rained until 5:30. It looked like about 3.5" of rain in the rain guage (its all faded) and there was water everywhere. We decided that we were down there to hunt, so we loaded up the brave souls and headed out. The fact that none of us got stuck and we got all out to the stands and back is amazing in itself. I don't want to think what we have to do to get the roads put back in shape, but that makes for another excuse to go back to the ranch!

Yes it was. The tusk get wore down most often, because of all the sand in the dirt. The hog only went 175 lbs but had by far some of the best tusk I have seen from the area.

We had some hogs this weekend that had white stockings and one that looked like a manicured show pig, but also, the usal lot of long haired plain old feral pigs

Most of my video was pre-dawn so I will download it and see if it can be viewed at all? We went from dry and dusty to wondering if we were gonna get out in just one morning.

Video is not looking to good. Need to get a better editing software. Been use a starter version of Pinicle or Windows Movie maker. If windows would let me brighten the images I would be good to go.
