I have only shot one hog,but I think you would be fine with a WFNHC bullet,Kev

I have shot some hogs with the speer 300 gr HPFN and it downed them for sure but opens to fast for my likeing, have shot two with the 405 gr rem and found that to be better as I like penetration + exits and if I shot a really big pig with the 300 gr sierra texas style I doubt I would get the penetration I liked. Tne woodleigh 405 gr would be the best of the lot IMHO......have not managed to shoot a pig with that bullet only thin skinned stuff.

I just found out about the Hornady 350 gr. flat point. Its not in my older hornady manual but i think they designed it for the 450 marlin. At 45/70 contender handgun velocities it may not expand fully but should penetrate well. This is what I'm leaning towards so far.
