I've watched this a few times now and thought I'd share it. Shows some good footage of houds and catch dogs in action. They catch them live in the video but stickin' them is about the same (with my limited experience)

That was entertaining, thanks for posting the link. There's one scene I found funny where 3 dogs are standing around a hog, keeping their distance, occassionally barking, just hanging out waiting for the catch dogs to arrive when one shows up and dives right in -- excellent! Thanks again.

Thought it was interesting when the guys had piled on the hog and had it on its back. One guy stepped up and straddled the hog's head, and abruptly went flying out of the pile--

Very nice footage, well put together with Hank Jr.'s singing talent. We didnt have wild hogs in our area when we used to hunt with hounds, hunted coyotes and 'coon instead, but makes me homesick just the same.

Juan, that white dog that went straight in looked like a small Dogo to me.

I do believe I saw a pitbull or two in that video.

I believe that they are using pit bulls and banddogs but ill try to see it again.Juan

I love hunting and dogs but I find this very cruel sport to surround an animal with so many dogs and people while it's fighting for it's life and kill it. Reminds me of the barbaric videos on the internet of people getting their throats cut in Iraq. Such footage will give the antis, ammo to nail our coffins once and for all!

Ibelieve its the most primtive a beatiful form of hunting ,the animal dies figthinf without thinking in nothing more than figthing ,i practiced full contact while in the army and i never feel pain figthing ,besides the dogos only want to catch hogs and pumas and they are happy doing this,the antis dont want any form of hunting .But hunting with dogs is just an expresion of a relation of friendship between two species thats has millons of years and is in our genes ,you must try it one time reddy .Juan

The antis will use any argument of convenience. They can't convince most people to agree with what they actually believe; that hunting anything at all is morally wrong. So they will use anything that they think might work. The antis also try convince people that hunting with rifles should be banned because it's too easy and the animal doesn't have a chance.

The hunting with primitive weapons spear and knife and with our best friends the dogs ,is just one of the most purest forms of hunting ,is a real bath of humanity as Ortega y Gasset said in Meditatinos of Hunting ,is the type of hunting that during millions of years our ancestors did ,before beging to hunt professionally ,i went to the bush with my loved dogo paimun and a knife and we always killed something to eat then we make a fire and we eat the meat ,after that we went to sleep ,he cares of me all the nigth ,hunting with dogs with your own dogs is just impossibly to explain you must do it ,.Juan
